The Grand Canyon Skywalk

I go to Las Vegas every year for the spring Interop conference. I like to go out to the desert and see the sites (me in Vegas is like a vegetarian at a steak house ;-). There are some amazing things to see out there.
I have found a spring near Laughglin that has the canyon walls surrounding it covered with Indian inscriptions thousands of years old. I found a training area where WW II gunners were taught to shoot machine guns, the ground being literally covered with bullets that have been there for 65 years. I have found an old mining camp with soldered tin cans in good shape that are at least 125 years old.
But by far, the most amazing thing I saw was the Grand Canyon.

It’s astonishing to see up close, and it’s also amazing from an airliner. But without a doubt, the best way to see the canyon is the way a bird does: from overhead, unencumbered by an aircraft.
How can you pull that off?
Starting March 28, you can do so by viewing the canyon through the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
This amazing construction accomplishment allows you to view the Grand Canyon by entering a long loop made of glass. You can look right through the clear 6” thick structure to the canyon floor 4,000 feet below.
IS THAT COOL, OR WHAT???
Check out the physics and design behind this incredible glass bridge.
Now, I have something ELSE to look forward to this May.
